David Aaron Greenberg Wants You To ‘Chill’

David Aaron Greenberg

His Trap Poems won’t be out until April 3 but you can “Chill” to its first single below. Rutgers grad/New Brunswick resident David Aaron Greenberg is what’s known as a “multidisciplinary artist” as he’s a vocalist, poet, painter, composer, art critic, curator, guitarist and art gallery owner who knew and worked with the legendary Newark poet-revolutionary Allen Ginsberg [1926-1997].

Now he’s teamed up with longtime collaborator David Sisko again—who he wrote songs with for reggae superstars Toots & The Maytals—to stretch the boundaries of poetry and hip-hop by fusing them into a cohesive whole. He calls it “a fresh approach to lyrical poetry.” His art has been displayed in galleries across the country. One such exhibit had him bridging skateboarding culture and subway graffiti with avant-garde downtown music in 1990s New York City. His Feeling Gravity’s Pull book was published by Soft Skull press in 1994. And his Strange Messenger book unfurls the magic of Patti Smith.
