Eric Roberson Releases New Tune Prior To 30th Anniversary Tour

Eric Roberson

Singer-Songwriter-Producer-Rapper-Author Eric Roberson—born in Rahway 50 years ago—has released a beautiful ballad, “Here For You,” ahead of his spring tour which kicks off next month in Pittsburgh on the 10th. The soul crooner will play the prestigious Kennedy Center on Valentine’s Day before joining up with The Soul Symphony Orchestra on February 16 in Atlanta. Selected dates include Vegas, Nashville, Atlantic City (June 21) and Honolulu (see complete list, here.) Groove to “Here For You,” here.

Roberson has 17 albums in 30 years. As he says, “it’s R’n’B and soul music but I’m a hip-hop dude.” To that end, this dude has produced and written for Jill Scott, Musiq Soulchild, Dwele, Vivian Green and many others. A former Berklee College of Music professor, he invented “The Process” in 2017, “a forum in which he invites fans to navigate through his creative experience. It allows fans to listen and comment to unreleased songs, thereby being part of the process of making music,” according to 2R Entertainment & Media Public Relations. “We are losing so much of the culture that went with listening to music,” Roberson says. “Letting the fans watch us create the albums was our way of bringing back some of the old music culture back.”
