Food Bank Benefit May 11 in Red Bank to Feature members of the Asbury Jukes & Low Cut Connie

On May 11, the Count Basie Center for the Arts will present “Shore To Rock Hunger,” a benefit for the Fulfill Food Bank of Monmouth and Ocean Counties. DJ Tom Cunningham will introduce Southside Johnny, Brian Kirk & The Jirks, Adam Weiner of Low Cut Connie, Jill Hennessy, Early Elton (with Jeff Kazee of the Jukes and Rich Pagano of The Fab Faux), G.E. Smith, the Juke horns and others.

MIKE GREENBLATT has been writing for Goldmine magazine and New Jersey's Aquarian Weekly for more than 35 years. His writing subjects fill the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

He's interviewed Joe Cocker, Graham Nash, David Crosby, Carlos Santana, Bruce Springsteen, Paul McCartney, Johnny Cash, and members of The Rolling Stones and The Beatles. He was 18 when he attended Woodstock in 1969.
