Free Jersey City Fest This Sunday

eartheart festival

A free all-day fest in Jersey City with bands and beer takes place this Sunday, August 24, starting at 1:00. The Eartheart Festival is dedicated to the proposition that a well-balanced symbiosis between brain and body makes all the difference in the world. As fest organizer-musician Charles Lallo told Jim Testa in his highly-recommended online arts newsletter called “Constant Listener” (jimtestanj.substack.com), there’s an “uncanny synchronicity of earth  and heart [that] might hold a key to unlock some of the resources within ourselves that can lead to health…Stress seems to be at the root of all ailments and cultivating a mindset seeking a harmonious relationship between body, mind and spirit tends to accomplish an ease or peaceful flow as opposed to dis-ease where there is a lack of peace, harmony and balance.”

To that end, music is the perfect avenue to lose one’s self within. Lallo fronts a band called Lallo & The Eartheart Experience who will be performing, as will Idle Creatures, KQ & The Sound Trip, Morgan Brown, Rebecca Monk, Patrick Lapinski and Michael Hillard & The Working Class. Besides music, Lallo also stresses yoga and meditation. 902 Brewing—with its array of craft beers—is hosting the dog-friendly event with a rooftop area and free parking on Pacific Avenue.
