Got Plans For Tonight?

Glenn Alexander

Southside Johnny’s retirement hasn’t slowed down the Asbury Juke Lead Guitarist Glenn Alexander. In fact, he’s been busier than ever. He stings those strings to shred with his Shadowland band that’s punched up bigtime with The Asbury Juke Horn Section. He also performs as a duo with singer-songwriter Oria. His penchant for peppering his presentation with jazz-rock fusion, Southern Rock, Hard Americana, Asbury Park-styled rock’n’soul and what we like to call Instant Classic Rock is mesmerizing, satisfying and fully entertaining. In other words, you can feel it in your gut.

Also on the bill at The Lizzie Rose Music Room tonight on East Main in Tuckerton (Ocean County) at 7:30 is the blues-busting James “JB” Barnes and the JB Blues Band with Barnes on bass, Chip Degaard on Keyboards, Riff Robin on guitar, Reggie Gamble on drums and Mitch Grossberg on harmonica. The first 25 patrons to enter the building will get a free CD of his new My Mississippi Roots.
