Pantera Booted from Euro Fests

Bayonne Guitar Hero Zack Wylde’s stint with Pantera has hit a snag. The band—with Zakk replacing Dimebag Darrell (shot dead in 2004 while onstage in Ohio with side project Damageplan) and Anthrax’s Charlie Benante replacing drummer Vinnie Paul—was unceremoniously booted off two major June Euro festivals. No real reason was given by the promoters of the two festivals but word has it that frontman Phil Anselmo’s 2016 White Power shout-outs and Nazi salutes were at the root of it.
