Dionne Warwick Documentary is a Winner!

Dionne Warwick Make Me Over CNN

Eighty-two year old Dionne Warwick is enjoying a career renaissance highlighted by the terrific new documentary on her life and career, Don’t Make Me Over (the title comes from her 1962 hit of the same name).

The East Orange soul singer is celebrated in the 95-minute doc that debuted January 1 on CNN and included interviews with her, her sons, plus Burt Bacharach, Clive Davis, Snoop Dogg, Gloria Estefan, BeeGee Barry Gibb, Motown founder Berry Gordy, Elton John, Cissy Houston, Quincy Jones, Alicia Keys, Gladys Knight, Melissa Manchester, Olivia Newton-John, Smokey Robinson, Carlos Santana, Valerie Simpson, Stevie Wonder, President Bill Clinton and Rev. Jesse Jackson. Writer/Producer/Director Dave Wooley goes behind the songs, features rare clips, and puts her in the proper context of her political activism. It’s a winner.

DIONNE WARWICK: Don’t Make Me Over is now available via CNN on Demand and will encore Saturday, Feb. 4 at 9:00pm Eastern / 6:00pm Pacific.
