Rapper 973tony Will Return Home After Serving America In The Army

973tony

The Passaic County rapper known as 973tony, currently stationed in Arizona working on F-16 fighter jets, will return home at the end of the year to resume his music career. He self-releases, self-produces and engineers his own music.  He even painted the album’s cover. He records in Hackensack, has 12 EPs and one full-length to his credit. He’s unconventional, passionate and when asked about his 12 EPs, says, “typically, it’s frowned upon to push out that much music without proper promotion but I try to focus more on the creative process than music-as-popularity-contest. I love the process and the art of it all.”

He rails against “negative energy that glamorizes a lifestyle that nobody wants once they have it” and when questioned further, says, “I’m not trying to make sugar-coated positive bullshit. This is just how I see the world. Spiritually and mentally, we need growth, and that low-frequency stuff getting pushed now isn’t it. Fuck the money.”
