Rock Photographer Frank White Goes Into The Beer Business
It’s called Jersey Metal Beer…The Beer That Rocks. It’s an American Lager, alcohol content 4.5. Longtime photographer Frank White, whose exploits can be seen in his Jersey Metal book, is the man behind the brew. “It’s an old-school recipe that matches the years of our book, ’69 to ’86, and our upcoming documentary,” explains the famous shutterbug.
Right now, Jersey Metal beer can be found at the Old Hights Brewery, Hightstown, N.J. Dingo's bar, Clifton, N.J. Dingbatz, Clifton, N.J. and The Right Bottle Liquor store in Franklin Borough, N.J.
“It’s brewed in the Old Hights Brewing Company in Hightstown, Mercer County, off Exit 8 of the New Jersey turnpike, on West Ward Street right behind Randy Now’s Man Cave,” he explains. “The beer has a smooth taste, amber color and is a `pounder beer’ according to brew masters Brian Woodward, Alex Costantino and beer engineer David Linton. The beer was brewed on July 27, canned and labeled on Aug 30th and the release party was on Sept 13th. The beer comes in 16oz/pint cans and sold in four packs, cases as well, as in kegs. Supply is limited right now due to the first run selling quickly. So far, all comments about the beer have been positive with a lot of happy Metal Heads enjoying the beer that rocks!”
