Monmouth Arts has announced that Stevie Van Zandt will bestow upon the legendary vocalist Darlene Love a “Lifetime Achievement in Music” award at the “POP! A Night at the Lanes” fundraiser on October 23 at Asbury Lanes. Eileen Chapman, the Director of the Bruce Springsteen Archives and Center for American Music, will also be feted, as will singer-songwriter-author Val Emmich. Dynamic soul-pop singer Remember Jones will host.

All proceeds will benefit Monmouth Arts, an arts advocacy organization delivering essential programs and services to local artists. They are funded by the New Jersey State Council on the Arts and the Monmouth County Board.

It starts at 5:30 with a cocktail reception at The Asbury Hotel. Then it’s on to Asbury Lanes for dinner at 6:30, complete with music from DJ Pepe Loco. “This gala is a true celebration of music, creativity and collaboration,” says Monmouth Arts Executive Director Teresa Staub. “Having Stevie Van Zandt present Darlene Love’s Lifetime Achievement in Music Award honors her remarkable career and the incredible impact she has had on generations of artists and fans alike.” For further information and ticketing, visit https://www.monmoutharts.org/popgala.
