Stone Temple Pilots Hit The Road
With three shows on the current tour already under their belts, Stone Temple Pilots continue their tour with +Live+ tomorrow in Houston, Friday in Dallas, and Saturday in Arkansas. Montclair-born STP guitarist Dean DeLeo plays on the first new +Live+ tune in six years, “Lady Bhang (She Got Me Rollin’). +Live+ founding member Ed Kowalcyzk described DeLeo’s contribution to the song as “mystical slide guitar styling.”
Stone Temple Pilots To Hit The Road
Stone Temple Pilots—with founding members Dean DeLeo on guitar and his brother Robert DeLeo on bass—will hit the road with bands Live, Soul Asylum and Our Lady Peace. STP might have formed in California but the DeLeo Brothers graduated Point Pleasant High School in Ocean County. The tour starts August 16 in Cali and runs through September 15 in Indianapolis. On September 6, they will perform right off the Garden State Parkway at the PNC Bank Arts Center in Holmdel.
Dean and Robert DeLeo of Stone Temple Pilots To Participate at High Voltage Rock’n’Roll Fantasy Camp
They might have started Stone Temple Pilots in California but brothers Dean and Robert DeLeo are Jersey Boys who graduated Point Pleasant High School in Ocean County. They have now announced their participation in the High Voltage Rock’n’Roll Fantasy Camp February 15-18 in Los Angeles with Nancy Wilson of Heart and Chris Slade of AC/DC.
Stone Temple Pilots Bassist, Robert DeLeo, Covers Canadian Folksinger, Gordon Lightfoot
Stone Temple Pilots bassist/composer/producer Robert DeLeo, 56 (the younger brother of STP guitarist Dean DeLeo), has released two Gordon Lightfoot covers—“Affair On Eighth Avenue” and “Your Love’s Return”—as a bonus to his Lessons Learned solo album from last year.
