The Dollyrots Are ‘Still Holding On’

Stevie Van Zandt’s Wicked Cool Records have released “Still Holding On” by The Dollyrots. Bassist/Vocalist Kelly Ogden says the song “is a stand-alone single pulled from our new album [due this fall] about counting on the people you love to get you through the strangeness of modern life. The lyric video features an AI-generated version of me, a digital reminder of how off-kilter the future is becoming.”

The song comes on the heels of the band’s “Hey Girl,” co-produced by Van Zandt at his New York City Renegade Studios, the b-side of which was a cover of “I Touch Myself” (the 1990 Divinyls hit).

The Dollyrots formed in Florida 23 years ago by Ogden and her guitarist husband Luis Cabezas. Ogden hosts her own Sirius-XM “Underground Garage” show called “Sunrise Surprise” weekday mornings from 4:00 to 8:00 eastern. They’ll be on tour with Don’t Panic and Dog Party starting in June.
