the dt’s Bust Out ‘Cherry’ Today

the dt’s Cherry

Asbury Park power-pop band the dt’s drop their “Cherry” today right here and it’s a punchy rocker that we can’t seem to stop playing over and over again. David Cacciatore and Tom Losito have fashioned an exquisite sound that channels the raw urgency of punk with the tuneful joys of pop music. Their current EP, Live at Lakehouse Studios, released in April, is also a solid listen.

The band is “extremely excited to release this song and couldn’t be happier how it came out. It’s actually been a staple in our live set for three years. We recorded the track at Sonoma Beach Studios in Clark with our good friend and producer Joey Papa. The track was cut live with our backing band of Frank Lettieri Jr (drums) & Rob Jennings (bass). We packed in as many hooks as we could within a short crisp power pop frame. The main riff and lyrical idea originated from Tom a handful of years ago. The song is centered around living and letting go of trivial burdens. Dave added killer slide work and harmonies which really rounded out the tune.”

And now, without any further ado, the “Cherry” premiere: https://distrokid.com/hyperfollow/thedts/cherry
