In its 22-year fight against Parkinson’s Disease and related illnesses, the Light of Day Foundation has raised money and awareness into funding research for possible cures, plus improved treatments and support for patients and their families. From its inaugural benefit show in Asbury Park to 70+ shows in 13 countries, almost six million dollars has been raised thus far.

Light of Day WinterFest 2024 will see numerous concerts in various locales. The action begins at the Count Basie Center for the Arts in Red Bank on January 12 with Tusk (a tribute band honoring Fleetwood Mac) and Taylor Simon King (a tribute band honoring James Taylor, Carly Simon and Carole King). Max Weinberg’s Jukebox with members of The Weeklings (check out their cool “Brian Jones” video in this month’s “Visual Sound” section) plus keyboardist Dave Biglin will perform January 20 at the Basie.

Other locations will be Montclair, Deal, New York City, Philadelphia, Asbury Park and Stony Point.
