The ‘Messages’ of Jazzmeia Horn

Jazzmeia Horn Messages

Friday we announced the five finalists of the 13th Annual New Jersey Performing Arts Center Sarah Vaughan Vocal Competition (otherwise known as The Sassy Awards). Jazzmeia Horn, from Dallas, was the 2013 winner.  Her new album, Messages (Empress Legacy Records) was just released (see video below). Her themes of family, love, sacrifice and the pursuit of artistic freedom are apparent within the grooves, making it a supremely personal statement. Her world tour has already started in Australia. Messages is her fourth album. She truly is a once-in-a-lifetime vocalist.
