The Bergen County collective known as Random Acts of Kindness Music has released “I Wish” by Uganda’s African Children’s Choir. Ken Freirich wrote the lyrics and found the singers, musicians and producer in an effort to effectuate his vision of “having a positive impact on the world through meaningful lyrics, kindness and philanthropy,” according to his camp.

Freirich started as a drummer. During COVID, he wrote “Healthcare Workers Rock,” an anthem to the brave doctors, nurses and hospital staff who faced possible infection to help others at the height of the pandemic. PINK’s drummer Mark Schulman signed on as did Grammy-winning producers Scott Jacoby and Emily Lazar. His “Free To Roam” went Top 20. His Better World Records comes complete with a commitment to philanthropy. Thus, the label supports The Path Fund, The Make A Wish Foundation, The African Children’s Choir and the Thoroughbred Charities of America.
