Jake Thistle pays tribute to Tom Petty and Jackson Browne at this year's Woodbridge Summerfest.

Gotta love the town of Woodbridge in Middlesex County:  another summer, another FREE concert series. First up:  June 7 all-day event at Merrill Park (Iselin) with Revolver at 12:30, The Powertones at 1:45, the Morrocan Sheepherders at 3:15. The B Street Band (Bruce Tribute) at 4:45, The Blue Meanies (Tribute to The Monkees) at 6:15 and Back To The Garden (Woodstock Tribute) at 7:45. Expect food trucks, a beer garden and activities for the kids.

Mike Greenblatt

MIKE GREENBLATT has been writing for Goldmine magazine and New Jersey's Aquarian Weekly for more than 35 years. His writing subjects fill the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

He's interviewed Joe Cocker, Graham Nash, David Crosby, Carlos Santana, Bruce Springsteen, Paul McCartney, Johnny Cash, and members of The Rolling Stones and The Beatles. He was 18 when he attended Woodstock in 1969.

In addition to writing about music, Greenblatt has worked on publicity campaigns for The Animals, Pat Benatar, Johnny Winter, Tommy James and Richard Branson, among others. He is currently the editor of The Jersey Sound.
