Mulberry Street in Newark will positively throb May 18 when New York City’s NOIR lights up the night (and early morning) at QXT’s Nightclub as part of its “Floor Killers” series. Starting at 10:00 and not expected to end until almost 3:00 a.m., NOIR should perform selections from its 2013 Darkly Near debut (Metropolis Records) featuring vocalist Athan Maroulis (also of Spahn Ranch and Black Tape for a Blue Girl). NOIR’s 2023 eighth release, Fallen, is sophisticated and diverse, featuring a sensual cover of The Psychedelic Furs 1982 hit, “Love My Way.” Washington DC band The Neuro Farm will open.
