Concert Album by The Feelies Due In October

On the fifth anniversary of the magical night when The Feelies performed an entire show at White Eagle Hall in Jersey City of Velvet Underground material, Bar/None Records will release on October 13 Some Kinda Love, the seventh album—and first live album—by the indie-rock pioneers from Haledon in Passaic County.  Produced by original Feelies Bill Million and Glenn Mercer, the set list contains songs from all four Velvet studio albums plus rarities.

Starting in 1976, The Feelies stopped dead in 1991 before resuming in 2008 when Sonic Youth asked them to open at Battery Park in New York City. Instead of going full-throttle to tour, they’ve performed selective gigs ever since. R.E.M. had them open at Carnegie Hall in 2009. Here Before came out in 2011, In Between in 2017. They play instrumental versions of Eno, Bowie and Hendrix in a side project, The Willies.

New Feelies music is always a cause for celebration!
