Original E Streeter David Sancious Gets Real

David Sancious

He pulls no punches. He calls it like he sees it. And he doesn’t like what he sees. Keyboardist David Sancious asks the philosophical question “Why Must It Be So” today.  But we’ll let Sancious tell you about it himself.

Sancious was the original keyboardist of Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band, playing on albums Greetings From Asbury Park, N.J., The Wild, the Innocent & The E Street Shuffle, and Born To Run. He’s also toured and recorded with Peter Gabriel, Sting, Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck, Santana, Seal and his own band Tone. Born in Long Branch, and raised in Asbury Park and Belmar, he studied Chopin and Beethoven before moving on to Coltrane and Miles. He reunited with Bruce to play on Human Touch and Western Stars.
