The Late Smithereen Pat DiNizio Will Be Part Of ‘Part Time Job’ by Full Time Men

Yep Rock Records will release Part Time Job by Full Time Men on October 27, the classic 1980s side project from Fleshtones Keith Streng, Gordon Spaeth, Robert Warren and Bill Milhizer. Members of The Lower East Side Rockers (Rich Thomas), The Smithereens (Pat DiNizio), Hoodoo Gurus (Dave Faulkner), Andy York (John Mellencamp), The Dead Boys (Stiv Bators) and Peter Buck (R.E.M.) make guest appearances. Twenty tracks strong, with four previously unreleased songs, the compilation will include all 12 tracks of the original release plus portions of their self-titled 1984 debut, 1988’s Your Face My Fist and 1999’s The Fabulous Sounds Of Coney Island.

Smithereens Jim Babjek, Mike Mesaros and Dennis Diken all graduated Carteret High School in Middlesex County. DiNizio was from Scotch Plains in Union County. They found each other through a classified ad placed by DiNizio in the Aquarian Weekly
