Burlington County’s David Osterhout—who records as Bike Routes—drops the F-Bomb multiple times during his angry “Shadows” single from his upcoming full-length Prairie, due June 26. We chanced upon the singer-songwriter-producer-multi instrumentalist in 2024 when Blue Grape Music first signed him, then a few months ago we loved his “Delicate” song with E Street sax man Jake Clemons. Well, there’s nothing delicate about “Shadows” but it sure does whet the appetite for Prairie.

"'Shadows' is a song about two people just trying to get away from the world and finding humor in it all," says the artist. "Some people run because they love the wind in their hair; others run because it's the only way forward."
