Raheem DeVaughn
"You"
Remixed and remastered 20 years after its original release for the 10th album—The Quiet Storm Lover Volume #1—of Grammy-winning singer-songwriter-DJ Raheem DeVaughn, a 26-city tour is ongoing to support its release that started in his Newark hometown.
Bolan
"Memory"
"Memory" is the third single from Bolan's brand new Gargoyle Of The Garden State. Rachel Bolan has played bass for Skid Row for 40 years. Now the bassist-vocalist-composer-guitarist has multi-Grammy Award winner Nick Raskulinecz (Foo Fighters, Skid Row, Rush, Evanescence, Alice In Chains) producing, with lead guitarist Damon Johnson, drummer Rob Hammersmith and Matt Farley on this track, with numerous guests throughout the rest of the album.

Bob Bert
"Love Comes In Spurts"
The second single from Beach Bongo Bloodbath (Bar/None Records), the solo album—finally!—from Sonic Youth and Pussy Galore drummer and longtime Hoboken fixture Bob Bert features an appearance from CBGB legend Richard Hell, who wrote the song.
Tiny Cities
"Body Cast"
Split between Middlesex and Morris Counties, Tiny Cities is the duo of Melissa Anthony and Dennis King. "Body Cast" is from Beginning of the End, an EP on Hidden Tracks Records, produced by multi-instrumentalist Eric Sanderson at Harbor Studios—a colonial stone warehouse jutting into New York Harbor, Lady Liberty visible from the window. The video was shot in Red Hook, Brooklyn by award-winning independent filmmaker John Decker.
Eddie Palmieri
"Palo Pa Rumba"
A giant of Latin music, Eddie Palmieri was born in New York City in 1936 and died in his Hackensack home 88 years later. The pianist-composer-bandleader revolutionized salsa music (although he hated that term). Upon discovering John Coltrane, he incorporated jazz into folkloric Puerto Rican beats. He can be seen in two films: the 2022 documentary Santos: Skin To Skin and Spike Lee's Highest 2 Lowest, released just months before his death last year.

MIKE GREENBLATT has been writing for Goldmine magazine and New Jersey's Aquarian Weekly for more than 35 years. His writing subjects fill the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
