Al Di Meola To Perform at the Paco de Lucia Legacy Festival

Al Di Meola

After suffering a heart attack onstage in Bucharest Romania last year on September 27, legendary Jersey City guitarist Al Di Meola—who can be seen in the upcoming documentary The Jersey Sound—will perform as part of the Paco de Lucia fest in New York City, taking place at various venues from February 20 to 24. (His triumphant return to the stage first came January 18 in Houston where he joyously shouted, “WE ARE BACK!”)

Billed as the “Greatest Tribute to the Flamenco Guitar Legend Ever Staged,” the Paco de Lucia four-day event unites 30 stars of Flamenco, Jazz, Latin, Dance and World music.  Di Meola—as well as fellow participant Ruben Blades—performed with Paco, who was born in 1947 Spain and died 66 years later. Di Meola will perform on the first night of the fest at Carnegie Hall. For tickets and further information, go to:  https://pacodelucialegacy.com/
