The beautiful sounds of jazz and classical will be presented once again this summer outside the Morris Museum on Normandy Heights Road in Morristown—the state’s second largest museum—in the back deck parking area. Tickets are onsale now to members and will go onsale to the general public May 25. You can bring your own chairs, food, drink and can arrive as early as 5:00 for the 7:30 events. Operational since 1913, the Morris Museum has been a destination for folks up and down the Eastern seaboard for decades.

“Jazz On The Back Deck” kicks off June 22 with The Antoinette Montague Experience, and continues with the Don Braden Big Band and Quartet June 29, Martin Pizzarelli & Friends July 13, Armani’s Harry Belafonte Celebration July 27, The Evan Sherman Big Band August 10 and Alla Boara August 19.

The classical “Lots of Strings Music Festival” starts July 18 with Ethel, and continues July 22 with the Dover Quartet, August 3 with the Black Oak Ensemble and concludes August 26 with the Galvin Cello Quartet. To sit outside in the summer to the sound of four cellos sawing away is divine.
