The Bruce Springsteen Archives & Center for American Music (BSACAM) plus Stevie Van Zandt’s TeachRock have announced a collaboration with Canada’s National Music Centre (NMC; see video here), based in Calgary (the first such NMC partnership outside Canada). Housed within the 160,000 square-foot Studio Bell, the NMC will partner with the two American entities for what is being called “a cross-border cultural exchange.”

‘Springsteen on Screen: From the Vault with Thom Zimny’

The Bruce Springsteen Archives & Center for American Music (BSACAM) has announced September 28 as the date for a special evening with Grammy Award-winning film editor/director Thom Zimny in celebration of Bruce’s 75th birthday. The 7:30 p.m. event will be held in Pollak Theatre on the campus of Monmouth University in West Long Branch.

The Mississippi Delta Will Meet The Jersey Shore Tomorrow

Lala and Element 88 will strut their stuff onstage at the Lauren K. Woods Theatre on the campus of Monmouth University tomorrow, June 7 at 8:00 with Stringbean Sorenson opening. It is the second annual concert of the series known as “The Mississippi Delta Meets The Jersey Shore,” a joint venture of The Bruce Springsteen Archives & Center for American Music (BSACAM), The Jersey Shore Jazz and Blues Foundation (JSJBF), The Mississippi Delta National Heritage Area and “Visit Clarksdale.”

Springsteen Archives To Hold Stone Pony Symposium

For the 50th anniversary of The Stone Pony in Asbury Park, the Springsteen Archives & Center for American Music will present a symposium on February 10 at 1:00 p.m. celebrating the famous club. Entitled “Spotlighting 50 Legendary Years of Music Memories,” the day-long event will include panel discussions and interviews to “explore the history of the club through the eyes of those who helped to shape its success,” according to the Archives Director Eileen Chapman.
