Kanak Is On The ‘Outside’ Looking In

In the video for their new single, “Outside,” there’s a map of New Jersey on the wall behind their stage. Kanak hits a hard-driving groove on the song, a tale of alienation, made more profound by its lyrical honesty. “I think a lot of people feel like they don’t fit in and that has always been true for me. I have never felt like I belong.” So says front-man singer-songwriter Tom Kanach. It’s the first single from their upcoming ‘On The Outside’ EP, due March 22 via Pop Clique Music/The Orchard.

Asbury Park Theater Company To Present ‘Kabaret Kaput’

To kick off its 2024 season, the Jersey Shore Arts Center in Ocean Grove will host ‘Kabaret Kaput’ April 5, 6 and 7 as presented by the Asbury Park Theater Company. Directed by the eccentric and eclectic soul/pop singer-songwriter-bandleader Remember Jones (Anthony D’Amato, also from Asbury Park), it stars Ellen Foley and Robert I. Rubinsky. Bruce and Patti Perform for the U.S. Equestrian Team

Jessica Springsteen took home the Silver Medal in Team Jumping for the United States Equestrian Team (USET) in the last Summer Olympics, held in Tokyo. This year’s events will take place in Paris at the Gardens of the Palace of Versailles. The United States Equestrian Team hosted a sold-out benefit at Five Rings Farm in Wellington Florida last Friday, January 19, to “raise critical funds to support the U.S. equestrian teams that are headed for the 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games in Paris, France,” according to a USET press release.
